Uncertainty and security were pre-pandemic topics of RoCoCo's conversations that became focal points during the pandemic. These feelings have shaped and helped formulate their continuing series of sculptures called Cold Comfort. RoCoCo often poses questions to each other regarding safety, health, and overall well-being. The adage “what doesn’t kill me, makes me stronger” was often met with a questioning reply of “oh, really?

Reminiscent of pillows or stuffed toys, these textile sculptures question the need for finding tranquility through expressions of sympathy and indulgent behaviors.
